BSN: Deal or No deal?

Nursing course is such a big hit in schools today. Most first world countries like the US are giving so more chances for nursing graduates to work and migrate there. Most students currently taking up other courses tends to shift to BSN because they see a greater edge and brighter future abroad. Those who have finished a course would opt to take this as a second course for the same reason. Even married couples and young adults plan to take crash course just to have greater chances of success.

I must admit that I am also getting attracted with a lot of news I hear from news and gossips. I am giving my self a chance to think if this course or work would suit me. I have listed some points that (not just me) but all BSN considerers to take a closer though of the following:

1. Can you tolerate poop, pees, and puke?
2. How about bedsores and cancer sores?
3. Annoying sick kid and elders?
4. Buzz hitters when you are busy?
5. Dead bodies/cadavers?
6. Doctors who think you are their slaves?
7. Head nurses who doesn’t need to be there at all?
8. Family, relatives and friends who think you’re their personal nurse or a doctor?
9. How about tons of paper works?

It may sound very negative, but these are real facts that should be considered and thought about. Once employed, it is not just these you would encounter but a lot more. Empathy is required. Nursing is not just to earn $$, it by knowing you have helped at all. I am a woman, with the entire prim and proper attitude. Still, I thank God I could withstand all those. I think I should count my self-in, for me, BSN is a deal.
