Apple iTV

Despite the delays that have bedeviled its release, Apple’s new iTV is finally on the market, and already selling in record numbers.  The idea behind the iTV is that it will allow users to share the files that they have downloaded from the Internet with other devices throughout their home, and allow them to watch files on their Big screen TV as well as on their computer.

The iTV allows users to download shows from iTunes, to their computer, and then transfer the files over to the iTV in order to watch them on the big screen.

Apple has big plans for the iTV, intending it to become the iPod of the living room, and the early signs have been encouraging for the company, with many customers buying into the idea of owning the stylish small boxes for their living room.

The iTV is designed to be easy to use and looks very stylish when in use and when it is simply sitting by your TV.  As with all current Apple products, the iTV has been designed with the user in mind.  The main functions are all accessible through a sensible menu system that is similar to that on the iPod, albeit with a much flashier user interface that looks a lot like the much imitated Mac OSX operating system.

The iTV is also fully compatible with the other Apple technology, meaning that users will be able to transfer files from their iPod onto the unit to pipe music through their main speakers, meaning that there will be no more need for all the additional docks and other paraphernalia that has been needed in the past in order to enjoy your music collection through large speakers rather than your headphones.

Overall, the iTV is a classy piece of kit with plenty of useful functionality to make it a fantastic purchase that will look great in any living room.
