Lewis Hamilton – The new face of Motorsport

22 year old Lewis Hamilton has only driven in five Grand Prix, but is already being hailed as the hottest property in Formula One, and is being talked about as being the driver who can exceed the achievements of the former champion Michael Schumacher who retired at the end of the 2006 season.

Hamilton is a born racer, who has overcome a tough up bringing in South London to emerge as a record breaking driver with plenty of courage, who may well become the world champion driver within the next few years.

Lewis Hamilton has been brought up through the McLaren driving school, personally sponsored by the team owner Ron Dennis, who saw enormous potential in the young driver and has been instrumental in the rise of Hamilton into a driver who is mature beyond his years, and a man who has delivered phenomenal results for such an inexperienced driver.

Many young drivers may have found that being partnered by the current world champion Fernando Alonso an very intimidating affair, but to his enormous credit, Lewis Hamilton has not allowed himself to be overshadowed by his illustrious team mate, and been easily the match of his partner so far this season as he settles into his new role.

A great deal has been made Lewis Hamilton being the first black driver in Formula One, but he has not played on his race at all, instead preferring to be known for his driving rather than the color of his skin. Since he is already being spoken about as a future world champion, it comes as a refreshing surprise that Hamilton is so humble in interviews, talking about how he is living through his dreams, and is more focused on learning than winning at this stage of his career, although it can only be a short time until he claims the first championship of what is bound to be a record breaking career.
