College Lifestyle – Source of Various Dangers
College life is a symbol of independence for many young adults. Yet, being inexperienced to a lot of things can put themselves in great danger. This is the sudden change of their life, where there are no authoritative figures and boundaries to obey. In a surrounding full of life and potential, it is easy to become a victim of any college lifestyle dangers.
Fresh college students are new to drinking, since they don’t exercise it legally during their high school years. Whatever the reason is, it does not stop them to party. Party culture in college inspires chain smoking, over-drinking and for those with limited experience many of them crossed the line of their limitations. Alcohol abuse triggers college students to be prone to injury, alcohol poisoning, drugs and crimes, even rapes and sexual assaults.
Lack of experience leads them to be the avid fan of victimization, violence and crimes in different ways, especially to campuses situated closed to urban areas. Freedom to go in and out of unlocked dorm rooms and the unlicensed used of vehicles worsen their crucial condition. All of them are not aware of what is happening around them. They are often the target of robberies, thief, crimes and even rape.
New environment offers peer closeness leading to another set of opportunities, friendship and interest in love. It stimulates sexual interaction giving much distressing outcomes. Lack of self-awareness coming from actual experience, draws them to the fire of unwanted sex and coercion. Temptations brought by alcohol are often used to score, which become almost acceptable today.
